Update: Official images of the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Varsity Red” have been revealed, providing the clearest look yet at the forthcoming design, its custom hangtag, and its special box design. You can expect it to touch down on February 28, and release/raffle details will likely be announced soon as well.

Update: After many months of rumor chatter and early looks, it’s nearly time for Union LA’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “Varsity Red” to land on shelves. The brand’s images of the Frankenstein-d “Chicago” plus “Shadow” look have leaked as many insiders are reporting that its release will take place this month. Union LA recently revealed a microsite for the project, as well as teased it with a “stay tuned” caption on Instagram. While we’re uncertain of a firm release date, the pair is likely to drop within the next few weeks via Union LA, Nike SNKRS and select retailers at an expected starting price of $200 USD. Look out for additional updates and review our previous updates below for more info.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFvYMQhS017/embed/captioned/?cr=1&v=14&wp=675&rd=https%3A%2F%2Fhypebeast.com&rp=%2F2024%2F8%2Funion-la-air-jordan-1-high-og-hv8563-600-release-date#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A418.5%2C%22ls%22%3A35.20000000298023%2C%22le%22%3A35.20000000298023%7D

Update: We were treated to an initial preview of next year’s Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG last week, which was quickly followed by word of the duo including fragment design for another colorway in 2025. Now, we have an on-foot breakdown of the previously spotted look, highlighting its “Chicago” plus “Shadow” build that we described below. Release for the much anticipated sneaker is now scheduled for next summer via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $200 USD. Stay tuned for more info and imagery as we await updates from Jordan Brand.https://www.instagram.com/p/DB1pkaZJTnb/embed/captioned/?cr=1&v=14&wp=675&rd=https%3A%2F%2Fhypebeast.com&rp=%2F2024%2F8%2Funion-la-air-jordan-1-high-og-hv8563-600-release-date#%7B%22ci%22%3A1%2C%22os%22%3A422.40000000596046%2C%22ls%22%3A35.20000000298023%2C%22le%22%3A35.20000000298023%7D

Update: After news of a new Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG colorway broke in Auugst, a first look at the forthcoming pair has been revealed by sneaker leaker @sharkicks1 — and, in an uncommon twist, the final product is quite close to the speculative mock-ups that accompanied its inaugural leak. Continuing the Frankenstein-d ethos of the first Union LA x Air Jordan 1 collaborations from 2018, this pair sews an Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” collar onto the upper of an Air Jordan 1 “Chicago,” and uses powder blue thread at its collar seam for a strikingly-contrasted delineation between the two OG colorways. Other details include a paper-like tongue tag, exposed tongue seams, an “aged” midsole and an insole with illustrations that nod to the shoe’s design process.

Early reports have this Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG collaboration slated for a February 12, 2025 release, though this information has yet to be confirmed by Jordan Brand or Union LA. Check out the first look images above and read the original story below for more info.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBbWehLi59k/embed/?cr=1&v=14&wp=675&rd=https%3A%2F%2Fhypebeast.com&rp=%2F2024%2F8%2Funion-la-air-jordan-1-high-og-hv8563-600-release-date#%7B%22ci%22%3A2%2C%22os%22%3A425.70000000298023%2C%22ls%22%3A35.20000000298023%2C%22le%22%3A35.20000000298023%7D

Original Story: 2025 will mark the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, one of sneaker culture’s most important silhouettes, and based on rumors regarding the sneaker, Jordan Brand is not holding back with its celebration of the shoe. Already, a “Shattered Backboard” reissue“UNC Reimagined” colorway and Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 “Bred” are expected to release next year.

Now, a new rumor from zSneakerHeadz, Brandon1an and Sneaker Market RO is pointing towards another Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG project. The duo worked on the silhouette in 2018, producing two colorways that combined vintage aesthetics with a stitched-together style that saw mismatched collars applied to each pair. For 2025, it is expected that this design approach will be utilized once again, as visualized via the mock-up above that imagines its “Varsity Red,” “Black,” “Sail,” “Shadow Grey” and “Muslin” color composition.

At the time of writing, neither Union LA nor Jordan Brand have confirmed that another Air Jordan 1 High OG is coming from them next year. That being said, it is currently expected to arrive in the “Varsity Red” and “Shadow Grey” makeover on February 12 of next year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the pair, as we await additional news regarding the much-anticipated collaboration.https://www.instagram.com/p/C-WQdoLsI8z/embed/captioned/?cr=1&v=14&wp=675&rd=https%3A%2F%2Fhypebeast.com&rp=%2F2024%2F8%2Funion-la-air-jordan-1-high-og-hv8563-600-release-date#%7B%22ci%22%3A3%2C%22os%22%3A2143.2000000029802%2C%22ls%22%3A35.20000000298023%2C%22le%22%3A35.20000000298023%7D

Lil Tecca has been a significant name in the hip-hop world since his 2019 breakout hit “Ransom.” His latest single, “Dark Thoughts,” reveals a fresh side of the artist. The track seamlessly blends introspective lyricism with an infectious beat, showcasing Tecca’s growth and versatility.

While the song has an upbeat and bouncy melody, the lyrical content offers a stark contrast, providing emotional depth that’s rare for a track with such a lively vibe. This juxtaposition gives “Dark Thoughts” a unique appeal, balancing lighthearted production with introspective themes.

The track samples Pharrell and Jay-Z‘s iconic “Frontin’” from the early 2000s, adding an old-school, nostalgic touch to the song. This is especially evident in the four-count opening beat, which transports listeners to the smooth, laid-back R&B sounds of that era. Produced by Lucas Scharff, the instrumental is layered with twinkling piano keys and bright loops, blending modern elements with classic hip-hop influences.

Lyrically, Tecca delves into the complexities of relationships, singing about a woman struggling with her own darkness and expressing his willingness to shoulder the weight of her emotions, with lines like, “She got dark thoughts, let me hear some, yeah, baby, I’ll be messed up for you.”

Stream “Dark Thoughts” now on all major platforms.

Update: Supreme just announced its latest collaboration with Nike, presenting a wide range of sportswear apparel that includes nods to the Swoosh’s Air Max franchise. However, the duo’s forthcoming Air Max 1 ‘87 colorways were not featured in the collection, further backing the rumor that the four-shoe collection will drop next week on Air Max Day (March 26). A first look at the “Varsity Purple” pair popped up today as well, offering a look at previously unseen details at the rear. Supreme’s “World Famous” script appears in white at the heel counter, above what seems to be a “SUPREME” wordmark debossed at the heel of the midsole. From there, the shoe includes a “World Famous” callout at the aglets in white text. Stay tuned for the collaboration’s official announcement and review our previous coverage below for more info.

Update: Supreme dropped its Spring/Summer 2025 lookbook last month, teasing a new Nike collaboration featuring the Air Max 1 ‘87. The project was first rumored last year and was said to include four colorways, however, only the “Black” pair was highlighted in the brand’s seasonal preview. Now, with the new Supreme season well underway, a first look at the “White” version has surfaced. This take on the shoe sees it equipped with an all-white finish that hosts a red Supreme box logo at the tongue tag. We’re still waiting to see what the “Varsity Purple” and “Speed Yellow” iterations of the shoe look like, however, it’s likely that both will become visible very soon as reputable Supreme leaker DropsByJay has hinted at an Air Max Day — March 26 — launch date for this project. Look out for it to drop exclusively via Supreme at a starting price of $170 USD per pair.

Original Story: Supreme season is back. The iconic streetwear brand dropped its Spring/Summer 2025 teaser last week and followed up with its complete lookbook and range on Monday. On top of exciting new reveals featuring collaborations with artists like Damien Hirst and Aphex Twin, it revealed one of its upcoming Nike projects.

While we’ve been covering the unreleased five-part Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low campaign since last year, Supreme’s long-rumored Air Max 1 ‘87 project was the one to make an appearance this week. While we lack a complete set of visuals featuring the shoe, two looks showcased the kicks in its “Black” colorway. This version of the shoe looks to be presented entirely in black, save for its silver dubrae and white lateral Swooshes that are visible here. According to SneakerMarketRO’s report last year, three other colorways of “White,” “Varsity Purple” and “Speed Yellow” will accompany this pair when it drops later this year.

At the time of writing, neither Supreme nor Nike have confirmed which colorways of their forthcoming Air Max 1 ‘87 will be dropping and when. Stay tuned for more info, including an official look at all of the retail pairs, as it is currently set to drop at some point during Supreme’s SS25 season via Supreme at a starting price of $170 USD each.
